MAKING

Children get to try out a range of simple hands on construction techniques including Book-Art, Papier Maiche, casting, junk sculpture, lantern making and 3d structures in Willow.
These techniques are introduced with exciting imaginative projects such as:

Make a fake; create a Roman vase
Museum worthy; Cast a 21st century fossil.
Delve under your bed to make junk snow-globes.

This project focussed on waste plastic. Children collected discarded toys and everyday plastic waste to create a bespoke snow-globe of an underwater distopia.

Using old books children experimented with folding and collage to create 3D form inspired by the theme of the book.

A Museum of the Future was assembled imagining the fossils that we will leave behind from the 21st century. Children cast collected objects using Plaster of Paris.
